Ibiza | Ca n’Anneta
Ca n’Anneta. A town in Ibiza to stop the time.
In the small town of Sant Carles de Peralta in Ibiza, you’ll find this authentic restaurant with terrace, known for its famous “Ibizan herbs”. In his letter, there are dishes such as Cuban rice with fried banana, homemade typical desserts, such as flaó or greixonera. Temporary art exhibitions hang on the walls of this ancient building that still serves as a post office for the people from the town. Tourists from all around the world come seeking the typical herbal liquors (right picture).
In the short and simple menu of Bar Anita, its portions stand out, such as Frita de pop (left picture – fried octopus with potatoes), ham croquettes, chicken wings or the delicious Tigre mussels, stuffed and battered. Among its dishes, the famous Cuban rice with fried banana stands out, served with egg, tomato and slices of bacon. At Bar Anita you will have the opportunity to taste typical Ibizan desserts, such as flaó (a sponge cake made with cheese, egg and mint) or greixonera (an ensaimada enriched with milk, egg, sugar, lemon rind, rum and cinnamon).
The wine list includes reds, rosés and whites mostly with national denomination, as well as some cava and wine from the Balearic Islands. The magic and energy seem to stop the time on every sip in this town anchored in the Ibizan past.
Can Anneta is definitely a place to spend a few hours and enjoy the most typical and authentic part of Ibiza, away from the parties and clubs.
